Submissions

We are currently accepting submissions from independent authors primarily with works of fiction, but also works of nonfiction.  For nonfiction, we are interested in works on personal improvement and travel adventure.  We accept submissions by email only in either Microsoft Word, Acrobat PDF, or plain text format.  Our submission requirements are shown below.

What to Submit
Query Letter (See Jane Friedman’s terrific article about query letters)
Book Synopsis (See Jane Friedman’s other terrific article about writing a book synopsis)
Manuscript Sample (30-50 pages)

How to submit
1) Write a simple email of introduction telling us a little about yourself and attach the query  letter, book synopsis, and manuscript sample.
2) Send the email to PotomacCreekSubmissions@gmail.com

What we will do
For every submission, we will respond within one business day to acknowledge receipt or your email.  As part of the response we will give you some idea of when we will be able to review your submission to determine if we are interested in starting up a project. The amount of time it will take to get through the review will depend on the number of submissions in the queue ahead of you and the number of projects we are working on.  We are a small shop, so the time can vary greatly.
